Recently, I received a new pack of liner pens for my birthday, so I've been experimenting with them a lot in my sketchbook. I've become partial to the small brush-style tip seen in most of these doodles. There's nothing quite like a smooth, pigmented pen to get me excited to draw.

One thing I've learned as I've gotten older is that rest, like eating or breathing, is non-negotiable. Rest isn't something to earn, streamline, or overcome -- it is a biological requirement, and your birthright as a living organism. I hope you get whatever kind of rest you need today! Created with acrylic paint and glitter on canvas board, sealed in epoxy resin, to be mounted on a beaded chain with a soft, felt back.

In 2021, I created these five matching paintings depicting a neon platonic solid with a corresponding flower. Tetrahedron was paired with trillium, octahedron with cosmos, cube with star of bethany, icosahedron with sunflower, and dodecahedron with rose. Each painting has already been sold to a different owner -- it makes me smile to think how five people share this little connection now. Painted with a combination of fluorescent and pearlescent acrylics and glitter, sealed in epoxy resin on 5"x7" wood panel.
